Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In accordance with Government and PHW advice, all Children in Wales/IRM staff are working from home until further notice and the offices in Cardiff and Bangor are closed.  However, we are still working.

For General Enquiries, you can contact us at info@childreninwales.org.uk.  You can contact specific members of staff directly via their email addresses which can be located here https://www.childreninwales.org.uk/aboutus/staff/

Therefore, until further notice, applications to the IRM can only be accepted by email.

Independent Review of Determinations

The IRM can offer an independent review panel process where your agency is proposing not to approve you as a foster carer or adopter, or to terminate or change your terms of approval.

It can also consider adoption disclosure applications where an adoption agency is proposing that protected information from adoption records will be disclosed or withheld, contrary to the views expressed by the person the information is about.

Please read on for more detailed information including the section on frequently asked questions.
